Free Cancer Screening For The Population Living In The Regions Of Georgia

Only for residents of the regions!

Perform cancer diagnostic tests (screening) in the clinic of the National Center of Surgery „New Life” for free. You can execute the following promotions as part of the promotion:

1. Breast cancer screening;
2. Cervical cancer screening;
3. Colorectal cancer screening;
4. Prostate cancer screening.

More information on the research involved in this programme may be found below:

Screening for breast cancer in women aged 40 to 70 years:

• Physical examination of the breast;
• Mammography in two projections (read independently by two radiologists);
• Breast ultrasound examination in case of pathology;
• Breast biopsy with ultrasound control if necessary;
• Cytological analysis of biopsy material collected.

Cervical cancer screening in women between the ages of 25 and 60:

• Examined by a family doctor and/or gynecologist;  
• Pap smear/Pap test;
• Colposcopy in case of pathology;
• Biopsy material obtained if necessary;
• Histological analysis of biopsy material taken.

Colorectal cancer screening for both genders between the ages of 50 and 70:

• Perform a specific test for occult bleeding (FOBT);
• Colonoscopy (with or without sedation) in case of pathology;  
• Taking biopsy material if necessary (including excision of tiny polyps);
• Histological analysis of biopsy material taken.

Prostate cancer management in males aged 50-70 years, in consultation with a family doctor or competent specialist:

• Determination of Total Prostate-Specific Antigen Concentration (t-PSA) in the blood;
• Chemiluminescence detection of the so-called Total Prostate-Specific Antigen index in cases of gray area, determination of free Prostate-Specific Antigen in serum (Free PSA).

We would like to emphasize, that the program is only available to Georgian citizens, with the exception of residents registered in Tbilisi!
