Low-dose lung cancer screening

Low-dose lung cancer screening

The ,,New Life” Clinic’s radiological studies

Given the importance of lung disorders in modern medicine, The National Center of Surgery's  ,,New Life" clinic provides low-dose CT scanning of the chest using a state-of-the-art 160-slice scanner (TOSHIBA AQUILION LIGHTNING SP). It stands out due to its lowest radiation burden, best image quality, and additional modes required for study.
Urgently refer to the ,,New Life" Clinic and undergo a low-dose computed tomography of the lung if:

  • You have recently stopped smoking;
  • You are 50 years of age or older;
  •  You smoke actively or passively;
  • You have a genetic predisposition to respiratory system diseases;
  • You have multiple respiratory system diseases (tuberculosis, fibrosis, bronchiectasis);
  • You will notice bloody sputum, easy fatigue, weight loss, and low temperature;
  • You come into touch with dangerous materials at work, such as paints and heavy metals (construction workers, painters, drivers, and mine workers, among others). You will receive computerized tomography of your lungs as part of the promotion, and if needed, you will visit with pulmonologist Zaza Lomidze, a thoracic surgeon.

A low-dose study refers to a minimal radiation regimen, maintaining image quality and high reliability of clinical value, which is enabled by the 160-slice machine (Toshiba Aquilion Lightning SP) available in the clinic.

Research is conducted every day, including weekends, 24/7.
